AR2 – Intermediate Defensive AR

AR2 - Intermediate Defensive AR

AR2 builds directly on the foundation established in AR1 and continues developing the skills needed to effectively use the AR-15 as a defensive firearm. This course expands on core concepts and begins applying them in a more dynamic context. In this 3-hour class, students will build on their use of ready positions with the introduction of the high ready, engage multiple targets while maintaining control and accountability, and begin incorporating movement. We also cover diagnosing and clearing common malfunctions efficiently. Students will learn how and when to transition to a sidearm if the rifle becomes inoperable or impractical to use. This course is designed to improve overall proficiency and build confidence in running the rifle in a defensive setting.
