Performance Pistol 1

Performance Pistol 1

This class is designed for shooters who already possess solid pistol fundamentals and are ready to build a higher baseline of performance. While many shooters can achieve acceptable results during slow, deliberate fire, inefficient technique often breaks down as speed, complexity, or stress increase. This 3 hour course focuses on refining the underlying principles that allow performance to remain consistent under pressure, enabling shooters to shoot faster without sacrificing accountability. Students will learn how to establish a strong physical connection to the firearm through proper grip principles, stance, body structure behind the gun, and effective recoil management, allowing the pistol to track predictably and return consistently. The course also emphasizes developing visual discipline, teaching students how to manage their vision and confirm the appropriate amount of sight information based on the speed and difficulty of the shot.

Note - This is not a beginner or remedial handgun course. Students must already be competent in safe gun handling, fundamental pistol manipulation, and basic marksmanship, including proficiency in drawing and working from the holster. Completion of our Defensive Pistol 2 course or an equivalent Level 1 pistol course from a reputable training organization is required prior to enrollment.
