DP1 – Intro to Defensive Pistol

DP1 - Intro to Defensive Pistol

This course builds the foundational skills needed to effectively use a handgun for personal defense. As responsibly armed citizens, our goal is to develop core manipulations to a subconscious level so we can focus on what matters most: making sound decisions under stress. This 3-hour class begins with a classroom discussion on mindset and situational awareness, followed by a comprehensive live-fire range session. On the range, students will learn proper stance, grip, and ready positions, along with techniques for unsighted fire, firing multiple shots, and managing the balance between speed and precision. The course concludes with a discussion on everyday carry gear, giving students the knowledge needed to carry their firearm comfortably, confidently, and responsibly.
